NORCROSS, GEORGIA – AMI®, a global leader in powering, managing and securing the world’s connected digital infrastructure through its BIOS, BMC and security solutions, today announces its withdrawal from Embedded World 2020 in Nuremberg, Germany due to concerns regarding the novel coronavirus outbreak and the welfare of its staff, partners and customers.
In an effort to reduce the risk of exposure and spreading of the virus and related concerns, after thoughtful consideration AMI has decided to withdraw from Embedded World 2020 which will take place in Nuremberg, Germany in late February. AMI is reaching out to its customers and partners to arrange alternative methods of meeting to demonstrate and discuss the company’s latest innovations, products and services that were part of its agenda for the Embedded World conference and meetings.
“AMI would like to emphasize that our decision to withdraw from the upcoming Embedded World 2020 was not taken lightly. However, our number-one priority remains the safety of our customers, partners and our colleagues,” commented Vice President of Global Business Strategy and Operations, B Parthiban.
“AMI’s priority is to minimize any potential risk of infection to a visitor to our booth or to one of our own staff, who could then spread the infection to other colleagues or their family members. Until our decision, AMI was greatly anticipating the opportunity to showcase our latest innovations, products and services at Embedded World 2020 in Nuremberg. This turn of events is deeply unfortunate, but we strongly believe the most responsible decision is to suspend our participation in this year’s event. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our valued partners and customers and look forward to reconnecting at a later date,” he added.
For questions regarding meetings originally scheduled for the Embedded World 2020 exhibition timeframe and additional information on this decision, AMI customers and partners are encouraged to contact their AMI Sales Representative.
