At the recent Arm® Total Design Summit events for the APAC region, held in Taipei, Taiwan on May 27th and Seongnam, Korea on May 29th, AMI’s VP of Boot Firmware Technology and lead technologist for Arm Total Design (ATD) projects Srini Narayana laid out the pathway to success for silicon design firms looking to adopt Arm’s next-gen Neoverse™ chiplet-based silicon architecture design. Engineers and leaders from across the APAC region were able to see firsthand how our Aptio®, OnSil, MegaRAC® and Tektagon™ Dynamic Firmware solutions are optimized to support this new rapid development platform.
In strategic partnership with Arm, AMI has worked hard to bolster its Aptio V UEFI boot firmware with advanced capabilities so customers can now leverage Arm’s Fixed Virtual Platform (FVP) silicon emulation tools to create Arm SystemReady-Certified, Day 1-optimized solutions that are fully designed, tested, and validated – all in a fraction of the time previously required.
The ATD chiplet subsystem architecture, supported by AMI’s powerful firmware solutions, is poised to revolutionize custom-designed silicon by bringing time-to-market down to a matter of months, rather than years, and empowering new players within the industry in ways never before possible.
AMI’s Unique Role in the Arm Total Design Ecosystem
As the first independent firmware vendor (IFV) included in the Arm Total Design ecosystem, AMI leverages its industry-leading silicon firmware solutions to ensure that mutual customers can maximize their performance while maintaining critical platform reliability, stability, and security. The modular framework provided by AMI for separating the compute and I/O subsystem provides a high degree of flexibility and agility for adopting these designs.
AMI’s delivery of pre-configured and pre-tested production quality modules for the reusable chiplets streamlines the time and resources required for this stage of development. Learn more about AMI’s unique participation in the ATD ecosystem here.
