The NVIDIA GTC 2025 AI Conference in March was an opportunity to learn more about the new NVIDIA DGX™ Spark – a personal AI supercomputer. In the wake of these announcements, AMI is proud to share that its Aptio® V UEFI Firmware has been selected by NVIDIA as a UEFI firmware solution to power this new device.
AMI is excited to be a partner for UEFI boot firmware for this NVIDIA project, driving the industry forward by introducing new applications of AI technology into our everyday lives. Notably, this collaboration brings a set of new firmware features to the desktop that were previously available only in the data center.
Aptio V for the NVIDIA DGX Spark delivers a turnkey UEFI firmware solution that is production-ready, feature-rich and finely tuned for this AI-forward platform. Partners and customers will receive the high standard of reliability and security AMI is known for, along with enterprise firmware features such as out-of-band management, memory error detection and event logging.
These are just a few things that AI developers and IT administrators can leverage to get fully immersed this new era of AI personal computing. Powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, NVIDIA DGX Spark offers incredible AI computing performance for running large AI models on the desktop that were previously only feasible with high-cost servers.
Sanjoy Maity, CEO of AMI, commented that “Our Aptio V UEFI firmware enablement for this new NVIDIA DGX Spark desktop AI supercomputer from NVIDIA will help usher in new levels of performance, reliability, and features that until now were only available in the data center – creating a new paradigm of what is possible in a small form-factor desktop system focused on AI developer, researcher and data scientist workloads.”
