AMI presented a track during the event, which focused on Advanced Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Usage. TPMs, introduced by the Trusted Computing Group, have been an integral part of platform security for more than 10 years, evolving over the years through several technology updates. However, from a firmware perspective, many of the security-based capabilities of TPMs have been somewhat overlooked. AMI’s presentation covered TPM usage from a generic standpoint for firmware, along with the latest applications of TPMs including TPM usage on x86 and Arm®-based architectures, innovative solutions based on TPM usage, and updates on industry requirements.

The Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Forum is a non-profit industry standards body responsible for developing, managing and promoting UEFI specifications. To learn more about the UEFI Forum and future UEFI Plugfest events, please visit https://uefi.org/.
