AMI Acknowledged as Top Patent Producer in Region as Hometown Norcross, Georgia is Named

NORCROSS, GEORGIA: – AMI, a global leader in BIOS and UEFI firmware, server and remote management tools, data storage products and unique solutions based on the Linux® and Android™ operating systems, was in the news recently as Time Magazine published a list of America’s most “genius cities” according to the number of patents awarded by companies operating in the area.

Notably, AMI was acknowledged as the leading patent producer in its hometown of Norcross, Georgia, besting technology and industrial leaders in neighboring companies such as OFS / FITEL Technologies (USA), Scientific-Atlanta and others. Additionally, AMI was noted in the Time article for having produced 373 patents up to 2015; the nearest local company had amassed nearly 200 fewer than that number.
