Notably, AMI was acknowledged as the leading patent producer in its hometown of Norcross, Georgia, besting technology and industrial leaders in neighboring companies such as OFS / FITEL Technologies (USA), Scientific-Atlanta and others. Additionally, AMI was noted in the Time article for having produced 373 patents up to 2015; the nearest local company had amassed nearly 200 fewer than that number.
