AMI Joins Industrial Advisory Board at Colorado State University Cybersecurity Center

AMI in the News

DULUTH, GEORGIA – AMI®, a global leader in powering, managing and securing the world’s connected digital infrastructure, is pleased to announce that it has recently joined the Industrial Advisory Board at the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University.

Since early 2020, AMI has promoted cybersecurity research at Colorado State University (CSU) through a private-public partnership, beginning with its funding of research in firmware security. This partnership enables two graduate students to collaborate with AMI in security technology-related research, testing and development.

For AMI, this unique partnership has already bestowed many benefits, including access to the National Science Foundation (NSF) Center for Cybersecurity Analytics and Automation (CCAA), which focuses on analytics and automation capabilities for efficient, accurate, and timely cyber-defense operations for complex enterprise information technology (IT), cloud and cyber-physical systems. The CCAA is part of the Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) program through NSF, in which CSU is an active participant.

Now, with its naming to the Industrial Advisory Board, AMI has an opportunity to share its many years of industry leadership and technological innovation at an even deeper level with the Center. In doing so, AMI joins industry leaders and current IAB members Cablelabs, Google, Lenovo, Lockheed Martin Space Systems and Sketchup Trimble. In partnership with these industry leaders, future goals for the Cybersecurity Center include pursuing recognition as an NSA Center of Academic Excellence, among other initiatives.

“We are extremely pleased for the opportunity to deepen our involvement with the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University with our naming to the Industrial Advisory Board. This next step represents just one of the many ways that AMI continues to strengthen our commitment to developing and testing industry-leading cybersecurity protocols and solutions. We look forward to collaborating with the current Board members on accelerating the progress and excellent research that the Center is generating,” said Stefano Righi, Senior Vice President of the Global Security Software Group at AMI and the company’s representative on the Industrial Advisory Board.

“A key goal for the Industrial Advisory Board – and one that infuses all of our efforts at the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University – is a broad spectrum of industry representation and technical areas of focus for our members. We are delighted with AMI joining the Board, along with its continued support of the Cybersecurity Center, and we look forward to an ever-deepening and increasingly fruitful partnership with AMI and all of our Board members,” said Indrakshi Ray, Director of the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University and Full Professor in the Computer Science Department at CSU.
