Need a Backplane Design?

A backplane (BP) is a compute/storage server subsystem with a series of hot-pluggable connectors ( or slots) that allows a server to access multiple drives with various industry-standard control interfaces like SGPIO for SAS/SATA, VPP/SHP/NPEM/UBM for NVMe Drives.

AMI MG series of controllers allows customers to design a backplane to support all existing standard interfaces/protocols and SAS/SATA, NVMe U.2/U.3, and EDSFF drives. Multiple BP Controllers can be cascaded to support up to 32 Drives.
