Today, AMI officially becomes part of Lattice Semiconductor (“Lattice”). See the formal announcement here. As described more fully in the announcement, AMI will operate as a dedicated business unit within Lattice under the name AMI, a Lattice Company. The AMI business unit will continue to be led by me.
I want to speak to you directly as someone who has had the privilege of leading AMI and working alongside many of you for years. You may naturally be asking what this means for AMI and for your relationship with us.
The most important message, as affirmed by Lattice, is this: AMI will continue to be the trusted, neutral technology partner you know today.
Our Commitment to an Open Ecosystem
For more than 40 years, AMI has built significant firmware and manageability of IP, deep domain expertise, and trust amongst customers and partners across the computing ecosystem. You rely on us to protect sensitive information and to deliver firmware and management solutions that work across processors, silicon providers, platforms, and architectures.
That neutrality is fundamental to AMI’s value and remains a core principle for the AMI business within Lattice.
We have established safeguards designed to protect the confidential roadmaps, design information, technical data, and commercial information entrusted to AMI. Consistent with those safeguards, information shared with AMI will be used only for its intended purpose and in accordance with our confidentiality obligations.
These safeguards are an important part of how AMI and Lattice intend to operate together.
Your Technology Choices Remain Yours
AMI and Lattice technologies will continue to be available independently.
Customers can continue to use AMI solutions with the processor, silicon, and platform technologies of their choice. Lattice customers can continue to use Lattice FPGA products and solutions independently. Where customers see value in bringing our technologies together, we will offer a more integrated solution.
There are no mandatory bundled requirements. The choice remains yours.
Greater Investment and Expanded Capabilities
As part of Lattice, AMI will have access to greater resources and investment to accelerate our product roadmaps, expand our capabilities, and better serve customers with time-to-market advantages worldwide.
Together, AMI’s platform firmware, security, and infrastructure management expertise and Lattice’s leadership in low power programmable solutions can help address increasingly complex challenges across AI infrastructure, data centers, industrial systems, and secure computing.
Our goal is to help you bring differentiated, secure, and reliable platforms to market faster while continuing to support your technology choices and ecosystem relationships.
Continuity for Our Customers and Partners
Your existing contracts, product roadmaps, support commitments, and service levels remain in place. Your AMI contacts remain your primary points of contact, and the AMI brand will continue as AMI, a Lattice Company.
We are committed to avoiding any disruption to current programs, deployments, support processes, or escalation paths as we move forward together. Future enhancements to our products and roadmaps will be thoughtfully introduced and guided by the needs of customers and partners.
The AMI leadership team you know today continues to lead the AMI business unit, and we remain focused on serving your needs, delivering on our commitments, and preserving your trust we have built with customers and partners over many years.
I have spent a significant part of my career helping build AMI into the company it is today. I am confident that our combination with Lattice is the right step for our customers, partners, employees, and technology.
We are proud of what we have built together, and we are excited about what comes next.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in AMI. We intend to continue earning it every day.
