As AI workloads continue to drive unprecedented changes across data center architecture, the OCP APAC Summit, organized and hosted by the Open Compute Project Foundation, has become a critical meeting point for the OEM, ODM, hyperscale, and technology partner ecosystem. Taking place once again this year in Taipei, the event brings together the companies shaping the future of open hardware, firmware, management software, cooling technologies, and rack-scale AI infrastructure. As rack power densities continue to climb with AI accelerator deployments, liquid cooling has become a necessity rather than an optimization. Technical Sessions

Beyond the engaging demos and discussion in the AMI booth, both AMI and Lattice thought leaders will once again share their expertise during breakout sessions at 2026 OCP APAC Summit.

As part of the AI Clusters track, Winston Thangapandian, BMC Architect, Manageability Solutions Group (MSG), AMI, a Lattice Company, will present “Building Interoperable Open-Source Firmware and Software for Next-Gen Disaggregated AI Racks.”

His session will explore how rapidly evolving AI infrastructure is driving unprecedented firmware complexity as compute, networking, security, power, and management functions become increasingly disaggregated. The presentation will examine the importance of open-source firmware frameworks, standardized interfaces, and shared APIs for reducing fragmentation, improving interoperability, and accelerating innovation across the industry.

Additionally, Prakash Suthar, Distinguished Engineer at Lattice Semiconductor, will present “Securing the Photonic Attack Surface: An Open Framework for Hardening Optical Fabrics, Management Planes, and SFP Ports.”

The session will examine emerging security challenges facing modern optical networking environments. As optical fabrics become increasingly programmable and interconnected, organizations must address vulnerabilities extending from physical infrastructure and transceivers to management planes and software-defined networking controllers. Attendees will gain insight into practical approaches for strengthening security through hardware roots of trust, transceiver validation, and standards-based network protection mechanisms.
