DULUTH, GEORGIA – AMI®, a global leader in powering, managing and securing the world’s connected digital infrastructure, is pleased to announce that it has recently joined the Industrial Advisory Board at the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University.
Since early 2020, AMI has promoted cybersecurity research at Colorado State University (CSU) through a private-public partnership, beginning with its funding of research in firmware security. This partnership enables two graduate students to collaborate with AMI in security technology-related research, testing and development.
For AMI, this unique partnership has already bestowed many benefits, including access to the National Science Foundation (NSF) Center for Cybersecurity Analytics and Automation (CCAA), which focuses on analytics and automation capabilities for efficient, accurate, and timely cyber-defense operations for complex enterprise information technology (IT), cloud and cyber-physical systems. The CCAA is part of the Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) program through NSF, in which CSU is an active participant.
Now, with its naming to the Industrial Advisory Board, AMI has an opportunity to share its many years of industry leadership and technological innovation at an even deeper level with the Center. In doing so, AMI joins industry leaders and current IAB members Cablelabs, Google, Lenovo, Lockheed Martin Space Systems and Sketchup Trimble. In partnership with these industry leaders, future goals for the Cybersecurity Center include pursuing recognition as an NSA Center of Academic Excellence, among other initiatives.

About the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University
Established in 2018, the Cybersecurity Center at Colorado State University was established to train students and the Colorado workforce in modern cybersecurity practices and procedures. The Center is a collaboration between the Department of Computer Science in the College of Natural Sciences and the Department of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business. The Center’s goal is to educate students and the workforce on all things related to cybersecurity and data privacy topics and to pursue partnership and research that furthers the cybersecurity field.
