MG Series Backplane Controllers
MG Series Backplane Controllers
A backplane is a compute/storage server subsystem with a series of hot-pluggable connectors (or slots) that allow a server to access multiple drives with various industry-standard control interfaces such as SGPIO for SAS/SATA and VPP/SHP/NPEM/UBM for NVMe storage.
The AMI MG series of controllers allows customers to design a backplane that supports all existing standard interfaces/protocols, as well as SAS/SATA, NVMe U.2/U.3 and EDSFF drives. Multiple controllers can be cascaded to support up to 32 Drives.
