AMI Announces UEFI firmware availability for Hardware Platforms Running Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® Server for ARM 7.2 Development Preview

In 2014, AMI joined several other ARM ecosystem leaders to support and participate in the Red Hat ARM Partner Early Access Program, a program designed to facilitate partnerships and collaboration around partner-initiated system designs based on the 64-bit capable ARMv8-A architecture that include Red Hat software, culminating in the initial Development Preview of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for ARM in June 2015. Now AMI has begun development to enable hardware designs capable of running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for ARM 7.2 Development Preview, aimed at providing a complete, integrated development environment for UEFI. With this development, AMI hopes to provide an efficient platform design and development experience that will meet the demands of the next-generation 64-bit ARM platforms.
