NORCROSS, GEORGIA – AMI, a global leader in BIOS, remote management tools, network data storage products and unique solutions based on the Linux® and Android™ operating systems, is pleased to announce its full support for the latest version of the Redfish™ specification from the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), version 1.2.0 with schema version 2017.1, in both its Aptio® V UEFI BIOS Firmware as well as several products within the MegaRAC® Manageability Framework.

Redfish is an open industry standard specification and schema designed to meet the expectations of end-users for simple and secure management of modern scalable platform hardware. It is grounded in modern technologies including a RESTful interface and utilizes JSON and OData to help customers integrate solutions within their existing tool chains. Version 1.2.0 with schema version 2017.1 of the Redfish specification brings a plethora of new and useful features, such as composability, telemetry, Redfish update services, out-of-band (OOB) firmware management, host interface-based inventory, BIOS attributes, as well as Config and Static Files via Host Interface (HI).

The ultimate goal of Redfish is to address all of the components in the data center with a consistent API, and an aggressive development schedule from the DMTF partner community is successfully making strides to that end.
