MegaRAC® DIT™ IPMI Management Tool for Android™
The MegaRAC® Droid IPMI tool (DIT) is designed to bring server management to Android mobile devices in a user-friendly manner. DIT empowers administrators to quickly scan the network and find all IPMI devices, gather their sensor output and even to power cycle IPMI devices.
Imagine being a server administrator in today’s world: you are riding transit, an hour away from work, and one of your servers is heating up… Now, imagine having the power in your hands to diagnose the problem, take corrective action, and continue to monitor the situation closely until it is resolved - all with your phone!
MegaRAC DIT makes all of this possible on Android mobile devices with a clean, streamlined user interface that clearly communicates vital IPMI information. Above all, DIT is effortless to use - management of IPMI devices begins with just a few simple steps. To login, the user simply enters the BMC IP Address, Username, Password, and is ready to go. From the Main Menu, the user can manage Power and Sensors, view the System Event Log (SEL) and FRU information for asset tracking, as well as send raw IPMI commands to the BMC.
DIT allows the user to browse the Connection History with a list of all previous BMC access events (both session and manual access events) for fast access to a particular BMC. Power On/Off and Power Cycling is managed through a simple one-touch menu, while discovery of BMCs is just as easy: simply enter the Starting / Ending IP Address Range to discover BMCs via RMCP Ping/Pong. Asset tracking of FRUs with DIT enables the administrator to discover FRUs via Device Locator SDR Records and decode FRU data. DIT can also send and manage IPMI Commands, and supports the creation of custom OEM commands.
