What is DuOS?
DuOS™ is a revolutionary new concept that brings the functionality, depth and fun of the Android™ experience to x86-based Microsoft® Windows and Linux devices. DuOS installs on nearly any Windows ot Linux desktop, notebook, netbook or tablet, and once installed allows the user to switch between Windows and Android environments instantaneously. Switching between OS is done using customizable hotkeys and leaves the Windows environment unaffected and still running.
DuOS is FUN
Enjoy the fun of Android and make your notebook or tablet even more useful by leveraging the 700,000* applications available for Android. DuOS is compatible with the Amazon Appstore for Android, opening up a whole new world of entertainment, productivity, and utility to make your PC, notebook or tablet device even more useful.
DuOS is FLEXIBLE
DuOS also lends itself to extensive customization, for both users and developers. Users can configure much of DuOS to suit their individual preferences, including the animation when switching between Windows/Linux and Android, the user shortcuts to Android applications in Windows/Linux and settings for Device and Data sharing with Android from Windows/Linux. For developers, various PDKs are available to developers to customize various options and the DuOS UI itself. DuOS supports a number of codecs and OEM stock applications.
DuOS is SECURE
If you are unsure about the stability or security of an Android app but would like to experiment with it, DuOS allows you to create Sandbox environments to run untested Android Apps without the risk of endangering the entire system. If you should run into a problem, viruses and malware encountered in one OS do not affect the other.
DuOS is LIGHT
Most importantly, DuOS will not impact system performance. DuOS runs on CPUs with VT-x virtualization support with minimal additional performance overhead. It also has minor impact on battery life or performance and provides excellent battery utilization during media playback of videos and audio. What’s more, DuOS occupies a very low memory footprint in operation to keep your system running smoothly.
