The newest addition to the ingenious MegaRAC® line of products from AMI, MegaRAC® CM (Chassis Manager) is a robust Linux-based firmware stack implementing the Open Blade Architecture System Management Specification from the Server System Infrastructure (SSI) Forum.

The firmware provides discovery, management and health monitoring of all the elements of the chassis, including power supplies, compute blades, I/O modules, cooling devices and other. MegaRAC CM supports widely adopted communications protocols, such as RMCP, SNMP and WS-Discovery, as well as DMTF interoperability standards: CIM, SMASH-CLP and WS-Man. MegaRAC CM is part of the Bladebrix™ offering, which also includes the MegaRAC SP firmware stack for Integrated Service Processor and the XMS enterprise management software.
