The MegaRAC® MG9082 is designed to minimize board space usage and maximize functionality and configurability. Measuring only 9x9mm, the chip is equipped with an internal oscillator and flash memory. This can contribute to significant savings, depending on the design and configuration of individual projects.

The MG9082 implements many of the most advanced technologies in the field today. It is the first enclosure management chip on the market to support International Blinking Pattern Interpretation (IBPI), the emerging standard that allows utilizing Serial GPIO for high-end servers and storage designs. Two on-board SGPIO ports support LED management for up to 8 SAS/SATA disk drives, and one SMBUS port connects with the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC).

Extremely versatile, the MG9082 can be integrated in a variety of project, with many reference designs available from AMI.
