The Annenberg Foundation’s IT staff currently manages an almost entirely virtual data center, supporting over 200 TB of data. IT stakeholders at the Los Angeles-based foundation segmented their data stores according to importance, identifying approximately 4 TB of data as absolutely critical. This data, residing in a virtual server environment supported by VMware®, is backed by the StorTrends SAN.
