SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leader in storage and computing innovations, once again joins the Intel Developer Forum (IDF), which takes place this year from September 13 - 15, 2010 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, California. As in years past, IDF San Francisco provides an established forum for developers, designers, technology influencers, decision makers and business leaders who are developing and launching the next wave of technology-driven products and services to share ideas, collect peer feedback and garner increased exposure.

AMI will be present throughout IDF San Francisco in Booth 314. The AMI booth will showcase the company’s complete line of UEFI firmware, diagnostics and new pre-boot management utility, along with MegaRAC® Remote Management Solutions and more. One of the highlights of AMI’s participation in this year’s IDF will be a joint track presentation from AMI, Intel and Dell entitled "Zero-Touch Platform Manageability with UEFI" (IDF Session EFIS004) in Room 2006 of Moscone Center West on Monday, September 13 at 3:20pm.

Additionally, AMI will unveil its new AMI Provisioning™ during IDF. AMI Provisioning is a robust pre-boot management utility that integrates firmware configuration, firmware update, hardware diagnostics and pre-OS applications in a Unified EFI (UEFI) environment. When combined with AMI’s Aptio® UEFI firmware and AMIDiag™ for UEFI diagnostics, AMI Provisioning greatly simplifies system maintenance and configuration.

"AMI is very pleased to have an opportunity to showcase its latest developments in UEFI firmware and server management solutions to our peers at IDF again this year. AMI has been a long-standing participant in IDF, and from year to year we continue to see growing exposure, interest and participation, which substantiate our enthusiasm and support for this event. This forum remains a key venue for introducing our latest technology and innovations to our peers and the industry at large," said S. Shankar, President and CEO of American Megatrends.

Demonstrations and displays in Booth 314 will include Aptio® UEFI firmware solutions for desktop, notebook, embedded and mobile products, AMI Provisioning™, MegaRAC® XMS Server Management Console and avrion™ "instant on" pre-boot environment.
