ATLANTA, GEORGIA – American Megatrends (AMI) proudly introduces SafeTrends™ - a breakthrough Continuous Data Protection (CDP) Software solution for Windows® environments for the safeguarding, backup and restoration of important digital media.

SafeTrends safeguards the contents of Windows® desktop PCs and notebooks with the flexibility to choose what to save, and when and where to save it. SafeTrends monitors, filters and protects data with local and remote backup to USB drives, network shares or Network Attached Storage (NAS) over a local or home network.

This groundbreaking new CDP product features multiple options for scheduling local and remote backups of data. It protects data by continually monitoring changes in selected files, and backing them up in one or more selected locations. SafeTrends also can specify how many versions of a specific file or folder to save, and features an Event Log to review activity and fine tune performance.

SafeTrends allows users to take advantage of unused storage space on local machines or storage appliances and put them to use by allocating these locations for backup storage. SafeTrends also takes advantage of data deduplication and compresses and encrypts data for safe, quick transmission and efficient use of storage space.

Furthermore, SafeTrends features a streamlined GUI and intuitive configuration wizards to make it a very powerful tool, even in the hands of a new user. Use the intuitive Recovery Wizard featured in SafeTrends to restore lost data in the event of data corruption, power outage, or similar catastrophe.
