ATLANTA, GEORGIA - American Megatrends (AMI) will host a booth at this year’s COMPUTEX with a focus on AMIBIOS suitability for performance notebook, ultra-mobile PC (UMPC), and low-cost netbook solutions. AMI’s booth will feature demonstrations and displays of AMIBIOS solutions for a number of these platforms from leading manufacturers.
Worldwide media recognize that COMPUTEX TAIPEI has now become the largest computer exhibition in Asia and the second largest in the world, next to CeBIT in Germany. Each year, key global businesses come to this event to launch their new products. Because so many global corporations have research and deployment centers or production facilities in Taiwan, this exhibition attracts observers, analysts, and journalists of computer and information industries from all over the world to discover and report the latest technologies, developments, and trends.
"AMI is proud to have the opportunity to showcase its AMIBIOS and Aptio solutions on such a large stage, as Taiwan is known to be one of the key design and manufacturing centers of Asia, along with being a key market itself for these technologies," said S. Shankar, President and CEO of American Megatrends.
"AMI has exhibited at COMPUTEX Taipei for many years, and each year we see a broader interest and participation that underscores our confidence and enthusiasm in this event. AMI is providing solutions for the new wave of highly mobile UMPC and netbook platforms, such as the very successful Asus EeePC and HP Mini-Note PC, and Computex represents an important opportunity to display AMI’s leadership in enabling BIOS and UEFI solutions for platforms such as these," he added.
American Megatrends would like to warmly welcome its customers, partners and media representatives to COMPUTEX Taipei and invites attendees to visit its booth for demonstrations and detailed product information for the complete family of quality AMI products.
