ATLANTA, GEORGIA - American Megatrends will demonstrate its MegaRAC® Blade Brix™ blade server management solutions and Aptio® firmware solution in Booth 247 of the Moscone Center at the Intel® Developer Forum, September 18 - 20, 2007, in San Francisco, CA. AMI will also give a separate demonstration of its Aptio® Firmware during IDF in the UEFI Community Pavilion, in Booth 246.

Demonstrations of MegaRAC BladeBrix will highlight the unique conglomeration of software offerings including MegaRAC SP™ (service processor), MegaRAC CM™ (chassis management) and MegaRAC XMS™ (Extendable Management Server) in a single blade server management platform that conforms to the SSI Modular Server Specification. These demonstrations will incorporate hardware from a number of AMI’s hardware partner platforms, including ASPEED, Server Engines, Winbond and more.

The Aptio firmware demonstrations will showcase how Aptio leverages the UEFI framework to go beyond the boundaries of typical BIOS firmware, to provide a highly modular solution that is portable across a number of platforms, and designed specifically for extensibility to future platforms.

"AMI is proud to have the opportunity to showcase these products at this well-known and prestigious event hosted by Intel," said S. Shankar, President and CEO of American Megatrends. "IDF represents an opportunity for us to connect directly with developers, decision-makers, and the cutting edge of our industry, and allows visitors to interact with our technology first-hand. AMI greatly values its participation in IDF in years past, and we look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones at this year’s IDF in San Francisco."

He also noted that AMI’s participation as a key member of the UEFI Forum will be recognized with a separate booth inside the UEFI Community Pavilion.

"We are especially proud of the fact that our Aptio demonstration will be located in the UEFI pavilion, as we have been an active participant in this organization for several years. AMI would like to thank Intel for its continued support, particularly this opportunity to generate increased interest in our Aptio firmware," he added.

American Megatrends invites visitors to booth 247 in the Main Hall and booth 246 in the UEFI Pavilion at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco’s Moscone Center from September 18 to September 20, to learn more about the innovative features and functionality of MegaRAC® Blade Brix™ and Aptio® Firmware.
