MUNICH, GERMANY - American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leading provider of computer technologies, announces that AMI and ADIVA Computertechnologie entered an agreement today to collaborate in developing the German market for AMI's StorTrends storage products.
ADIVA is a successful value-added distributor (VAD) for top brands in server computing and storage systems. "The essential benefit for ADIVA is a consequent enhancement of the storage portfolio to SMB solutions. AMI's StorTrends is offering professional solutions for consolidated storage. The price to performance ratio also makes consolidated network storage affordable for users who have the need but have to fit to tight budgets. StorTrends feature set and entry level price are unmatched in the industry," said Ute Kühn, senior marketing manager of ADIVA. "This is the first time that classic SMB users have access to switch to high availability storage pools providing back up to disk with NAS and SAN appliance features that compliment applications such as Exchange and Lotus Notes. If implemented correctly, it will do everything simultaneously and can be maintained by the existing network administrators."

AMI's newly designed StorTrends appliances, provide IP SAN and NAS or Dual Dialect support in to host file and block level data from a single networked storage device. The entry-level StorTrends 1100i stores up to 1.6 GB in a 1U-rackmount device. Higher capacities up to 6 GB are served in a single system with the StorTrends 3100I 3U appliance. Both appliances act as a NAS and simultaneously as an IP SAN, utilizing AMI's dual dialect technology.
ADIVA Computertechnologie GmbH, based at Bad Homburg near Frankfurt, is an outstanding VAD for server computing and high-end storage. The customer base is leading system houses in the German area as well as certified resellers and consultancies. ADIVA Academy services are available to its clients for frequent education of the technologies ADIVA markets.
