American Megatrends' Aptio® Selected by MSI

(AMI), a leading provider of storage and computing innovations, today announced that its premier EFI system software, Aptio, has been selected by Micro-Star International, a leading computer and electronics manufacturer, for enabling its computer platforms.

Charles Chiang, vice president of the R&D Division at MSI, stated: "The EFI specification and Aptio offer an appealing opportunity for motherboard manufacturers, who can continue innovating the hardware components while enjoying a higher cross-utilization of firmware drivers among different platforms, such as server, desktop and notebook designs.
