HANNOVER, GERMANY - American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leading provider of computer technologies, announced today it will demonstrate the StorTrends® 3100i, 1100i IP-SAN storage appliances and StorTrends NXS, NAS software, powered by Intel XScale technology, at CeBIT 2005 in hall 1 stand 5G 6. CeBIT takes place March 10-16 in Hannover, Germany.
The StorTrends product line is composed of NAS and IP-SAN appliances with integrated Linux-based software that merges file-based and block-based data with robust features and manageability. StorTrends products enable end users to start small, with one storage appliance, and build their capacity as needed over time.
StorTrends 3100i is a 3U IP-SAN/NAS storage appliance with up to six Terabytes of storage that features dual-dialect StorTrends iTX software that offers support for both block-based and file-based data on the same storage appliance.
StorTrends 1100i is a 1U IP-SAN/NAS storage appliance that features dual-dialect StorTrends iTX. The StorTrends 1100i offers up to 1.6 Terabytes of storage at an affordable price for small business. Both the StorTrends 3100i and StorTrends 1100i use inexpensive SATA drives.
The StorTrends NXS NAS software merges file-based data onto a storage appliance, targeting SOHO and SMB markets. Setup is made simple via an easy web-based management interface that enables the administrators to monitor health variables and control key system parameters such as NAS file share and security configurations.
AMI also is offering a pre-release version of StorTrends IXS, dual-dialect IP-SAN/NAS software powered by the Intel XScale technology reference design to OEMs with customization tools. AMI will also be exhibiting the MegaRAC family of remote system management products.
