AMI Provides Firmware Support for latest AMD Power-saving Technology for Server Processors

Atlanta, Georgia - American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leading provider of storage and computing innovations worldwide, is pleased to announce that AMIBIOS®8 firmware support for AMD PowerNow! technology with Optimized Power Management is available immediately for its customers.

AMD PowerNow! technology with Optimized Power Management (OPM) for the AMD Opteron™ processor is designed to decrease overall power consumption for enterprise IT and workstation customers by optimizing performance-on-demand.
