Nuremberg, Germany - American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leading provider of storage and computing innovations worldwide, announces today its firmware support for platforms based on the Intel Pentium M processor 760 and the Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset at Embedded World 2005 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Embedded boards utilizing the Intel Pentium M processor 760 and the Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset combination offer high performance platforms with low power consumption, as well as improved graphics bandwidth. The new chipset features integrate third generation graphics for improved performance, with support for PCI Express technology. AMI provides firmware support for this platform through AMIBIOS8 and also with Aptio, AMI’s next-generation BIOS based on the Intel Platform Innovation Framework for EFI.
AMIBIOS8 mobile features include the latest power management technologies, such as Geyserville technology as well as Embedded Controller, hot-key support and PCI Express.
