ATLANTA (Monday, March 8, 2004) American Megatrends Inc. (AMI) today announced that Celestica, a world leader in electronics manufacturing services, selected AMI's Enterprise 64 and MegaRAC™ PM as the core and management firmware for its systems based on the Intel® Itanium® Family.
Celestica will integrate AMI's Enterprise64 system software into its server reference design based on the Intel® Itanium® Family. AMI will also provide Celestica with the MegaRAC PM management firmware, an IPMI 1.5 compliant solution with standard IPMI features such as system health monitoring and corrective actions like power on/off, system reset, as well as extended features such as BIOS flashing and text redirection over LAN.
