AMIBIOS® Support Available for Intel's Springdale and Canterwood Chipsets, Enhancing Computing Power on the Desktop

ATLANTA (Thursday, May 22, 2003) American Megatrends announces that its PC initialization software, AMIBIOS, supports platforms based on the combination of the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor and the Intel® 865G Springdale chipset, as well as high-end gaming PCs based on the 875P (Canterwood).
The Intel® 865G and Intel 865PE chipsets with integrated graphics extend the computing power of Hyper-Threading technology – previously targeted only at high-end systems - to mainstream desktop applications. This support, coupled with existing support for the 875P (Canterwood) allows AMI to address two crucial markets: desktops and PC-based workstations based on Intel's Pentium 4 processors.
