American Megatrends Inc. Ships IDE Backplane to NEC for Integration into Server

ATLANTA (Wednesday, December 18, 2002) American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leading provider of storage and computing innovations worldwide, today announced its IDE backplane (series 915) will be used by NEC Corporation (NASDAQ: NIPNY) for integration into its EXPRESS5800/Special Pack 120Ga server. The NEC server, ideal for SOHO and small enterprises, is an IDE system that can match SCSI level performance at a much lower price.
