ATLANTA (Wednesday, January 23, 2002) American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), the leader in storage and computing innovations worldwide, today announced the release of StorTrends™ NAS software version 1.1. This updated version, with added support for Apple and NetWare, is ready for integration into AMI’s StorTrends and ServTrends™ storage solutions. This software is not sold separately.
New features in version 1.1 include:
Apple Support (AFP and AppleTalk) - enables the connection of Apple machines to the NAS server
NetWare Support (NCP and IPX) - enables connection of NetWare machines to the NAS server
HTTP - allows File Transport to directory/files (read only) for use of the web browser
FTP Based File Transport Support - allows NAS use for accessing files (read and write) from FTP clients
Secured Administration Access (using SSL) - allows the admin
