American Megatrends Presents Showcase of Windows® 8-ready Hardware with Aptio® V UEFI BIOS Firmware at “Touch the Future with Aptio V” Launch Event

On Friday, October 5th, 2012, American Megatrends unveiled its new Aptio® V UEFI BIOS Firmware to an enthusiastic audience of developers, manufacturers and system integrators at the “Touch the Future with Aptio V” Launch Event in Taipei, Taiwan.

During the event, AMI also displayed a showcase of next-generation Windows® 8-ready hardware from leading manufacturer partners, some of which are presented here in slideshow format. Notably, each of the systems shown here also use Aptio V as its UEFI firmware; many also display other AMI solutions that can add value and increase productivity, such as the new, touch-based version of BIOS Setup that allows users of touch based devices to perform standard BIOS configuration, as well as AMI Provisioning™ and the MegaRAC® XMS Management Console.
